Sweet Note

Just wanted to mention a new place that has opened in the city called SweetiePie, and it is wonderful. From spot on decor, to delicious sweet treats, to perfectly though out cocktails and wine selections .... its well, just amazing. I recommend the SweetiePie signature cocktail or the Rosé along with the cookie platter!

Portland _ Travels

[ Photos by  Christina Holmes & Thomas Payne ]

Portland! Here are a few snaps from my trip to the west coast this summer. I really really can't wait until the New York Ace Hotel opens, need I say more. On a recent trip this summer to Portland, OR, which by the way is a great city, we stayed at the Ace Hotel, which is also amazing. In addition to being minutes away from some of the best wine country in the states, Ace is also located in a great area downtown. At points you forget you have left New York, finding yourself emerged in a great stylish city with great character, people, food and wine. If your ever out there, this is definetly a great find. Enjoy!

(t)here Magazine : Berlin 24 Project

24 Hours of Art in Berlin. " A charming city of avenues and cafes, a grotesque city of night-people and fantasts, a dangerous city of vice and intrigue, a powerful city of millionaires and mobsters - all this is Berlin." - Christopher Isherwood
After meeting at an unknown location in the middle of Berlin with 23 other artists from all over the world i was randomly given the topic of HOT. Here is my interpretation of Berlin Hot. Also check out, www.t-here.com to see the full magazine showcasing the project that will launch at Berlin Art Forum in September 2008.

MEN OF LAND PROJECT [Ongoing]

Men of Land : Part 1
This documentary focuses on generational farming today in America and on the men whom for generations have run them. Traveling all over america to hear the stories, capture the emotions and tell the story of a lost tradition, on that our great country was built upon. From crop farmer to dairy farmer you will hear and see the struggles that have been faced and that they continue to face in with our failing economy at hand. Hear it from them first hand, and not from the sensored media and we go into their personal lives to see what its really like to still work the land in a world of constant change and unstableness.

This project will be followed up by a Part 2 : People of Land which will move into the new outlook on farming in the 21st Century with the Slow Food movement to growing local and organic.

For more infomation or to be part of the project please email christina@ch2creative.com. And check back for updated information.
